COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ In ancient times, passersby turned away from people with disabilities, believing it would prevent them from ``catching'' anything.
``It came from ignorance and fear. If something was wrong with somebody, it was like that person had the evil eye,'' says ``Doc Robin'' Blake, an Indiana psychotherapist who recently spoke at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on ``Overcoming Disabilities and the Fear of the Disabled.''
