AMEX RAISES MARGIN REQUIREMENTS ON BROAD-MARKET STOCK INDEX OPTIONS
NEW YORK, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Stock Exchange said today it has raised margin requirements on broad-market stock index options which must be fully implemented no later than Monday, Nov. 2.
Initial and maintenance margin for broad-market index positions will be raised to a minimum of 100 percent of the option premium plus 10 percent of the aggregate value of the underlying index, reduced by any out-of-the money amount of the option to not less than the premium plus 5 ...
