CARTERET TO BE ACQUIRED BY THE HOME GROUP FOR $320 MILLION

NEW YORK, Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Marshall Manley, president and chief executive officer of the Home Group, Inc. (NYSE, PSE, Midwest, London: HME), and Robert B. O'Brien, chairman and chief executive officer of Carteret Savings Bank, F.A., jointly announced today an agreement providing for the acquisition of Carteret by the Home Group.
