KAISER PERMANENTE TO GET SUPPLIES FROM ALLEGIANCE

McGAW PARK, Ill.--Allegiance Healthcare Corp. has signed the first nationwide distribution contract with Kaiser Permanente, the largest health maintenance organization in the U.S.

Under the five-year, $650 million-plus contract, Kaiser Permanente will depend on latex medical glove maker Allegiance to distribute medical and surgical supplies to Kaiser hospitals across the U.S.

This marks the first time Kaiser Permanente has signed a nationwide contract with any distribution company, according to an Allegiance spokesman. Typically, the HMO contracts for supplies on a more regional ...
