Bordeaux Winemaker Suspected of Doctoring Wine and Mixing Vintages

Several top officials employed by the prestigious Bordeaux winemaker Chateau Giscours have been placed under investigation on suspicion of doctoring the wine, according to French justice sources. They said Giscours' former director Jean-Michel Ferrandez and oenologist Regis Froidefond have formally been named targets of a criminal inquiry opened in 1995 by French investigating magistrate Denis Couhe.
