Dauphin Deposit Corp. to acquire Colonial Bancorp Inc.

HARRISBURG, Pa., April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Dauphin Deposit Corp. (NASDAQ: DAPN), headquartered in Harrisburg, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Colonial Bancorp. Inc., headquartered in New Holland, Pa.

The agreement was signed by William J. King, president and chief executive officer of Dauphin Deposit Corp., and John E. Barry, president and chief executive officer of Colonial Bancorp Inc., and was approved by the Dauphin board of directors at a special meeting held this morning.
