Velsicol to Exit Chlordane

VELSICOL CHEMICAL CORPORATION is ending production of chlordane and heptachlor at its plant in Memphis, Tenn., and will drop out of the business before the end of the year. The company will also shelve its proprietary technology for manufacturing the products rather than licensing it to any other producers.
