AFTER EXPERIENCING ANOTHER YEAR of volatility in cobalt metal pricing, cobalt salt producers are debating whether price stabilization for cobalt is a promise of the near or far future.
The diversity and increasing number of suppliers, according to industry observers, may help to stabilize the highly volatile pricing of cobalt metal. However, many new mining projects, which will help to create this new supply, may be at too nascent a stage to impact pricing in the near term.
