FLOUR CASSAVA INDUSTRY QUITE ATTRACTIVE TO INVESTORS

The flour cassava industry seems to have good prospects of growth. This can been seen from the high investor interest in this industry. For the first seven months (January-July) of 1995, according to data with Data Consult, five flour cassava projects were approved by the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). These five projects require a combined investment commitment of Rp 81.1 billion and will have the capacity to produce 180,000 tons of cassava, 135,000 tons of flour cassava, and 21,200 tons of pollar per annum.
