Bright Future Ahead for the Food Additive Industry in China

The food additive industry of China has developed itself in recent 20 years. Thanks to the growth in the Seventh Five-year Plan and the Eighth Five-year Plan, the industry has now come to the mature stage. Up to the year of 1993, 22 categories and 1 135 varieties of food additives were approved by our country for use. Most of the main varieties have held their ground and remarkably expanded their application in the domestic market.
