Most foreign visitors arriving in Indonesia come from Asia-Pacific countries

The main market of Indonesia's tourism industry is other ASEAN and Pacific countries. Another significant market is Europe. The number of visitors from other ASEAN countries last year was 1,340,455 or around 39.4% of the total of foreign visitors, while the number of visitors from other Pacific countries, including Australia and Japan, accounted for around 32.7% and from Europe 19.4%. Visitors from other ASEAN countries, Australia, Japan, and Europe accounted for 91.5% of the total number of foreign tourists arriving in Indonesia last year.
