BEARINGS EXEMPTED FROM IMPORT DUTY

Through Decree No. 119/KMK.00/1993, dated February 8, 1993, issued by the Minister of Finance, the Government eliminated the import duty on bearings. The exemption of the component from import duty is intended to stimulate the growth of the domestic bearing industry. Bearings are considered an important component, so it is deemed necessary to exempt them from import duty.

Bearings are used in automotive engines, machinery, generators and others. On Data Consult's record, at present there is only one company producing bearings in Indonesia, namely: PT Logam Sari ...
