GLOBAL TIN PRICE DOWN STEADILY

The price of tin is suspected to have continued decreasing after reaching its peak level of Mal$ 15,260 per ton on the Kuala Lumpur Tin Market (KLTM) in November 1991.

It reached only Mal$ 14,110 per ton in March 1992. Tin demands have continued to drop as a result of economic recessions in several countries, and there has been an overproduction of tin. Tin-producing countries, including Indonesia, which have been harmed by the slumping tin price, have tried to control the global supply of tin.
