Indonesia's textile exports as a whole have been increasing although its textile exports to countries which apply quota systems have been decreasing. Indonesia has even targetted the foreign exchange earnings from textile exports for 1991 at over US$ 4 billion. It seems that this target will not be difficult to achieve in view of the fact that the foreign exchange earnings from textile exports for the first semester of this year already reached US$ 1,745 million. Indonesia's textile exports for the whole period of 1990 raised over US$ 2,839 million in foreign exchange.
