The Iranian government is considering a new pricing formula for natural gas to be supplied to downstream ventures and to gas export projects. A plant gas price of less than $1/million BTU would be possible, according to a source at the Ministry of Mines and Metals, one aspect of pragmatic thinking among key planners in Tehran.
