EAST AFRICA: Changing E&P Climate & Production Sharing Incentives

Nearly all the East African governments are offering attractive production sharing terms. Incentives in exploration agreements include shorter cost-recovery periods than those on offer elsewhere, tax and duty exemptions, and a clause enabling foreign companies to re-negotiate special terms directly with the Minister in charge.
