The Henley Group Inc. (NASDAQ), a holding company formed in 1986 to absorb 35 businesses spun off by Allied-Signal Inc., plans to spin off to shareholders its Pneumo Abex division and its Fisher Scientific Group as separately traded companies. Pneumo Abex is primarily in the aerospace business, but also includes the Abex Friction Products group, which manufactures brake parts.
