Like North Yemen, Jordan has only one refining venture. Currently producing about 70,000 b/d, the Zarqa refinery is owned and operated by the Jordan Petroleum Refining Company (Jopetrol). Having undergone three expansions already, this plant would not need any new extensions but will require about $50 million worth of renovation in the 1990s.
