House of Fraser purchases Turnbull Asser, Kurt Geiger.

LONDON (FNS) -- House of Fraser PLC, owner of Harrods, has purchased the jermyn Street shirt maker Turnbull Asser and U.K. footwear retailer Kurt Geiger.

Terms weren't disclosed but sources here said House of Fraser paid about 20 million pounds ($29 million) for the two privately-held retailers.

House of Fraser said it plans to leave in place the management teams of both companies. The acquisitions, along with the purchase last weekend of the Switzer Group of Irish Department Stores, are House of Fraser's first since the Al-Fayed family bought the retailer ...
