NEW YORK -- Cluett, Peabody & Co. and designer Alexander Julian have entered into an exclusive licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and marketing of the men's Alexander Julian Couture Collection in the U.S.

The agreement confirms an earlier story in DNR (Sept. 6" Page 2, Sec. 1) that a licensing deal was in the works.

The arrangement will involve all men's wear products under the Alexander Julian Couture label, said John Currier, a Cluett group vice-president.
