Though I have no interest in cruising the Falkland Islands, this is a truly superlative book on the area, but the best part is the story behind the book. Southby-Tailyour, a major in the Royal Marines, was stationed in the Falkland Islands in 1979 and, being an enthusiastic yachtsman as well as member of various historic ship societies, he spent much of his spare time assembling a comprehensive pilotage and sailing instructions for the Falklands.
