UNEP to hold African environmental conference

The Governing Council of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has approved a proposal by its Executive Director, Mostafa Tolba, to hold an African environmental conference in December 1985 to discuss national environmental priorities and identify common problems in Africa. The approval came at the Council's thirteenth session, held in Nairobi from 14 to 24 May.
