WASHINGTON, NOv. 20 /PRNewswirie/ -- The Washington Post Co. today announced it has agreed in principal to acquire Stanley H. Kaplan Educational Centers from its owners, Stanley H. Kaplan and members of his family.

The Stanley H. Kaplan Educational Centers will function as a separate unit of the Washington Post Co. Current management will remain in place.
