DALLAS, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Resources and Madison Resources, Inc. announced that they, together with certain Madison affiliates, had entered into an agreement whereby Madison is purchasing from Universal 1.3 million shares of its common stock for an aggregate purchase price of $16,900,000 or $13 per share.

Prior to this transaction, Madison owned 2,183,193 shares of Universal common stock (24.7 percent of the previously outstanding shares) which were purchased in open market and private transactions. Madison will own a 34.4 percent interest in ...
