The Opera du Chateau production

Joseph Quesnel (1746-1809), author-composer of Colas et Colinette, the earliest music-theatre work composed north of the Rio Grande, left a second comedy with music, Lucas et Cecile. A production of Lucas announced late in 1808 in Quebec City apparently never took place, and Quesnel died the following year.
