The Royal Swedish Ballet held a nine-day festival in June 1998 to celebrate its rich talent and repertoire, both Swedish and international. Under the direction of artistic director Frank Andersen, the company distinguished itself with its recreations of 18th century ballets performed in the original theaters in which they premiered.
