The Castle Dome District lies in the Castle Dome and Middle Mountains in southwestern Arizona and features both clustered and scattered, mostly inaccessible mines. The mining district is among Arizona's oldest and most continuously worked mine groups. Good mineral specimens have never been plentiful in Castle Dome although it has an extensive history of mining and an important array of secondary materials.
