Sitting in his office, windows flung open against a blisteringly hot day, Vikash Tatayah points to a painting of a bird of prey on the wall behind him. This copper-coloured kestrel, he explains, is the symbol of the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation (MWF), of which he is the conservation manager.
