Rufus Wainwright is the son of folksingers. At 25 Wainwright is a singer and songwriter with an unusual sense of gay identity. Wainwright avoids relationships and is quite comfortable with heterosexuals. He has a bleak view of the future but is proud of his work.

Like most of the 25-year-olds we've spoken to, Rufus Wainwright has a mind of his own.
