As Chrysler Corp. and Daimler-Benz AG shareholders gather this week to approve the merger, top executives are ready to begin the marriage.

DaimlerChrysler AG could be operating as a unit as early as November under a plan worked out late in August.

The 18 executives who will be members of DaimlerChrysler's new management board met at the Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., Aug. 27-29 to finalize merger details.
