Wally motioned to Petra under the water: I want to tell you something. He was treading water and he was so tall that the further elongation from his flippers brought him thrillingly close to the fire coral. Petra lifted her head and pulled out her snorkel, the only concession she'd make with so much marine action swirling around her.

"It's a yellowtailed damselfish," Wally said.
