Zille still cautious over Cope, DA links.(News)

FOLLOWING their recent joint statements on labour broking and the mid-term budget, the DA and Cope are poised to take their relationship a step further by fielding joint candidates with joint manifestos and forming strategic alliances in the 2011 local government elections.

This comes as Cope's Gauteng leader, Lyndall Shope-Mafole, a former ANC heavyweight who resigned from the ruling party exactly a year ago, attended the DA's Gauteng conference yesterday as an invited guest - the first Cope leader to do so.
