Rural studies often fail to give a complete account of the country's rural development in terms of population attributes, interdependence with urban and global conditions and its diverse nature. One factor that may improve such research is the assumption of autonomy over how rural people manage their political and economic lives. Rural capital must also be seen in terms of natural, man created, human and social components to provide a better view of rural development and policy-making.
