Pres Bill Clinton expressed his appreciation for the University of Beijing which he feels has a historic relationship with the US. He believes that the University of Beijing is at par with Harvard University. In honor of the university's centennial year, he has ordered the donation of more than 500 reference books to the university's library. The books come from the US Information Agency. Also included is a book by her wife called 'It Takes a Village' and his book called 'Between Hope and History.'
