The Graham Company staged 'Appalachian Spring' in the same performance space it was designed in 1944. Danced beautifully, it worked well because of the dancers' intimate connection with the audience. The newly commissioned 'But Not for Me' by Susan Stroman was more entertainment than serious dance.
