SYDNEY, Oct 15 Asia Pulse - Suncorp-Metway Ltd (ASX:SUN) has sold its Hooker Corporation Ltd real estate operation to the grandson of the founder of the Australian business for A$67 million (US$61.26 million) in cash.
The business, which includes the LJ Hooker real estate franchise business and the LJ Hooker mortgage broking business, has been bought by Leslie Janusz Hooker, grandson of Sir Leslie Hooker.
Suncorp said it would reap A$67 million in cash for the sale of 100 per cent of Hooker Corp and about A$15 million in cash from pre-completion dividends, ...
