Alltel Corp. completed its $4.2 billion acquisition of 360 [degrees] Communications Co. last week and immediately inherited more than 2.6 million cellular telephone customers.
That more than triples the number of cellular customers Alltel now has. The Little Rock-based firm had 976,000 cellular customers before the merger was completed.
