Foundries are slowly discovering how performance contracting can help them install cost-saving equipment at little or no expense.
It happens all the time. Because finances are tight, management is leery about investing in newer equipment or technologies. Or maybe a large investment in non-production-related equipment such as a sand reclamation unit is seen as "non-essential." Whatever the reason, the trend is to maintain the status quo.
