Pres Bill Clinton remembered the largest airlift in history that happened in Berlin, Germany during World War II. He took pride in the fact that Western allies acted as protectors instead of aggressors during that single moment. He paid tribute to those who made the airlift possible even as he urged the new generation of Germans and Americans to relearn the lessons of the airlift and continue their friendly relations.
