Locating a moral/political economy: lessons from sixteenth-century Anabaptism.

An investigation of the moral-economic ideas of the Swiss, South German and Dutch Anabaptists of the early to middle sixteenth century from a political-economic perspective might aid in broadening the analysis of the manner by which economic phenomena are considered. The symbols that Anabaptists employed to represent their idea of political economy and the manifestations of these symbols in their daily practice are included in the evaluation.
