Tourist operators from Madre de Dios, in the southern Peruvian jungle, are working in the implementation of a surveillance system to improve the protection of tourists, local authorities reported today.

Carlo Aguilar Perez, regional director of Foreign Trade and Tourism, explained to Andina that this project involves the acquisition of ships that allow a permanent monitoring of the area.
