WASHINGTON, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Firaxis Games, a leading developer of entertainment software, today announced the launch of http://www.alphacentauri.com, a web site dedicated to Sid Meier's Alpa Centauri, one of the most anticipated PC games of the year.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is scheduled for a fall 1998 release and will be published and distributed by Electronic Arts (Nasdaq: ERTS).
