This study examined participation in Girl Scouts and use of scouting curriculum as interventions for increasing the self-esteem of female adolescents. There were no significant pre/post differences among comparison groups. However, Girl Scouts had higher self-esteem than did girls without scouting experience and there were statistically significant differences in self-esteem by age group.
