Pay-TV operator upgrades to digital broadcasting and set-top boxes (STB) with dual mode pay-TV/online videos will help sales of STBs reach 200 million units worldwide by 2013, according to Parks Associates. It seems obvious that building Internet connectivity into STBs will become a necessity as online video services such as Netflix and Amazon.com expand their libraries.
