MANILA, Aug. 18 (PNA) -- Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. leads government officials in the celebration of the 131st birth anniversary of the city's founding father and first President of the Philippine Commonwealth, Manuel Luis Quezon, in fitting rites at the Quezon Memorial Shrine Wednesday.
Republic Act No. 6741 mandates August 19 of each year a special working holiday throughout the Philippines and a special non-working public holiday in the provinces of Quezon and Aurora, and in Quezon City.
