DMC consolidates services as it prepares to close Grace

The Detroit Medical Center plans to invest $158 million at its Sinai Hospital campus in Detroit to prepare for the closing of nearby Grace Hospital.

The investment in construction and renovation at Sinai will allow the DMC to consolidate all of Grace Hospital's services at the Sinai campus when Grace is closed in the first quarter of 2001, said William Pinsky, M.D., the DMC senior vice president.
