This report updates earlier studies examining characteristics of successful novice ganzfeld participants. A new study comprising Novice Series 103-105 in the PRL automated ganzfeld study (Honorton, Berger, Varvoglis, Quant, Derr, Schechter, & Ferrari, 1990) is compared with a previous PRL study (Honorton & Schechter, 1987) and an independent study reported by the FRNM research team (Broughton, Kanthamani, & Khilji, in press).
