NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has adopted Virtual Gibbs CAM software systems for spacecraft design. The systems increase shop floor efficiency by 60% and improve the machining group's productivity by allowing them to program and run jobs. Applications of the systems include the use of Virtual Gibbs to design parts for the Pathfinder high gain antenna and the SolidsSurface module to create a K-beam for the Deep Space 2 mission to Mars.
