Poland: New railway station in Katowice.

By mid 2012 the city of Katowice will have a new railway station ahead of the UEFA Euro 2012 football championship to be held in Poland and Ukraine. A broad infrastructure upgrading programme is underway to meet Poland s transport needs for the event. PKP Polish rail has concluded an agreement with a Spanish Neinver, which is to finance and realize the Katowice invetsment, worth EUR 240 mln.
