DURHAM, Ontario-Durham Furniture has entered into an agreement to acquire a furniture manufacturing facility, a move that will increase the company's production by nearly 30 percent.

Orville Mead, president of Durham, reported today that agreements have been signed to purchase the land and buildings located at 60 Queen Street, Chesley, Ontario, along with the machinery and equipment installed in the building, which has been used to manufacture a line of upper-medium-priced, solid-wood bedroom, dining room and occasional furniture in cherry, mahogany and walnut.
